Late last month, miHoYo revealed details for the massive first major update to Genshin Impact (Free) on all platforms including iOS and Android. If you’ve not played Genshin Impact yet, it is a gorgeous magical adventure RPG with an easy contender for my soundtrack of 2020. It is also coming to Nintendo Switch at a later date. Genshin Impact 1.1 titled ‘A New Star Approaches’ has rolled out worldwide on all platforms now. This update brings four new playable characters, a new set of quests, the first seasonal event, new systems, and more. Tartaglia, Zhongli, Diona, and Xinyan are the new characters with today’s update. The new systems include City Reputation, Archive, Exploration Progress, and more. As a compensation for maintenance, players get Primogems x 300 (50 gems per hour servers are down) and Primogems x 300 as a compensation for bug fixes. You need to have reached adventure rank 5 or above for this. Genshin Impact 1.1 also concludes the Liyue chapter of the story. More update details are here.
