As is tradition with most Call of Duty entries developed by Treyarch, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will have its own Zombies mode, which will be revealed on September 30 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET.
Activision tweeted out the announcement with the official key art for the mode, but shared nothing more about what players can expect ahead of the reveal.
Activision revealed Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War later in the year than is usual for the publisher, with a release scheduled for November 13. The game takes place after the events of the original Black Ops and at the height of the Cold War, as you track down a Soviet spy named Perseus. The story is inspired by real-world events and is being helmed by Raven Software.
An alpha for Cold War’s multiplayer was recently held on PS4, after Treyarch revealed the mode a few weeks prior. A beta is coming in October to PS4 too, which will be exclusive for a week before opening up on both Xbox One and PC.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will feature cross-gen support for its multiplayer, but you will have to pay extra to get all the next-gen upgrades if you plan to upgrade your console when the Xbox Series X/S launches on November 10 and the PS5 launches on November 12.
